Memorial Day was first officially observed in 1868 when flowers were placed on the soldiers’ graves at Arlington National Cemetery. It was proclaimed by General John Logan, national commander of the Grand Army of the Republic, and was first recognized by New York State.

This weekend, we invite you to bring your family & friends to savor our fine food & warm hospitality as we celebrate and honor those who have served our country.

Sincerely,

Peter R. Friedrich, Innkeeper-Proprietor
