Host/Hostess

Essential Functions:

  • Secure dining room reservations for the evening in preparation for shift.
  • Greet incoming guests warmly and with a smile providing prompt assistance.
  • Coordinate and orchestrate the activities of the front door or the dining room entrance as they relate to guest arrival and seating.
  • Assist with seating as appropriate, and once seated, provide menus to guests and inform them of the name of their server.
  • Communicate with dining room manager to ensure guests’ needs are being met.
  • Observe overall functioning of the dining room paying close attention to guest signals, service standards and overall guest satisfaction.
  • Request comments from guests as to their satisfaction, making adjustments as appropriate and communicating information to management.
  • Adhere to all guidelines, procedures and established standards of conduct.
  • Perform all essential tasks and duties in accordance with corporate mission statement “A Satisfied Guest is our Top Priority.”

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Must be able to work weekends and all major holidays.
  • Must be able to stand and exert fast-paced mobility for periods of up to 4 hours in length.
  • Must have 1-2 years prior restaurant experience.
  • Must be dependable and reliable.
  • Must possess visual acuity.

Workweek:

  • Varies with availability (4-5 hours per shift/3-4 days per week)

Pay:

  • $9 – $10 per hour depending on exprience
